A Veteran's Story

As a Hawaiian veteran with a deep love for home and his two dogs, Eddie NaHinu hoped to rebuild his life with steady work and a stable routine. Work Now Hawaii and the VA worked hand in hand to make that transition not only possible, but smooth.

Meet Isaiah Kapoi! Born and raised in Ewa Beach, Isaiah found Work Now Hawaii after searching for disability employment online. With no recent work experience, he joined our organization and began building new skills, confidence, and connections.

Luke’s path from the VWATS program to a custodial career was built on hard work and a commitment to learning. Today, he is a proud member of the AbilityOne Army Contract team, working at Shafter Flats and helping "keep the Army clean."

Christopher’s Journey

Christopher transitioned from the uncertainty of temporary work to a stable custodial career through Work Now Hawaii’s training programs. Today, he is a key member of the Ft. Shafter Flats team, enjoying better pay and a shorter commute.

Imelda’s Legacy

Imelda’s journey is a masterclass in work ethic and resilience. After moving to Hawaii from the Philippines in 2000, she began her professional path through a referral from the Hawaii School for the Blind.
